As Principal of AK Interiors, Adrienne Kavanagh has 14 years experience designing interiors. From concept to completion, she has been involved in a variety of Commercial and Residential projects ranging in both size and requirements. Prior to opening AK Interiors boutique studio in 2009, Adrienne had worked at Riesco and Lapres, Hodgson Design Associates and SSDG.

Adrienne’s enthusiasm and desire to be thorough in the design practice are qualities that make a great designer. With genuine interest, care and sense of humour she establishes trust and ease with clients making the process more enjoyable.

Her ability to imagine the volume of space and the scale and balance of design elements help to ensure the interior will be harmonious and innovative throughout.

With experience, leadership and organizational skills, Adrienne is also qualified in project management and administration. Design and construction team members enjoy working with her, as she respects the fact that everyone can bring value to the project and that a good design is completed by a team, not an individual.

Travel, exploration of new materials and continuous study keeps Adrienne at the forefront of design trends, health and safety standards, and eco friendly practices and products. Her professional foundation comes from completing the Kwantlen University Interior Design Program, passing the NCIDQ examination and maintaining her membership with the Interior Design Institute of BC.

“When we moved into our new home we were overwhelmed with what colors to paint and what furniture to buy to make our house feel like a home. Adrienne spent a lot of time going through colors with us that would match our taste as well as our new surroundings. She gave us great ideas and tips on what furniture we would need and where it should go. In the end we are so happy with the result, Thanks Adrienne!”
